Description

Delicious and flaky Apple Pie Fillo Cake with a rich apple filling, perfect for dessert.


Ingredients

  • 6 apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 package fillo dough
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and melted butter.
  3. Layer the fillo dough in a greased pan, brushing each layer with melted butter.
  4. Add the apple filling and top with more layers of fillo dough.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can include raisins.
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
