Description

A gooey, melty mountain of beef, bacon, and cheddar stacked high with golden tater tots and oozing cheese—pure comfort food madness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1½ pounds ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 10 slices bacon, cooked until crispy and chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 (32 oz) bag frozen tater tots (about 40–50 tots)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and bake tater tots according to package instructions until golden and crispy (usually 25–30 minutes).
  2. While tots bake, cook bacon until crispy, then chop. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mix ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Divide into 3 equal portions and form into thick burger patties.
  4. In a skillet over medium-high heat, sear burger patties for 4–5 minutes per side until fully cooked. Set aside to rest.
  5. In a small bowl, mix ketchup, mustard, and mayo to make the sauce.
  6. On a clean baking sheet or oven-safe plate, layer the dish in this order:
    • Base layer of crispy tater tots in a ring around the edge.
    • 1 burger patty topped with sauce, bacon, and cheddar cheese.
    • Repeat layers to build up to 3 burger layers.
    • Add mozzarella and American cheese over the top for that volcano effect.
  7. Place the whole stack in the oven at 425°F for 5–7 minutes or until cheese is fully melted and bubbling down the sides.
  8. Serve hot with extra tater tots around the base for dipping and scooping.

Notes

  • Add pickles or grilled onions between layers for extra burger flavor.
  • Make it spicy by adding jalapeños or using pepper jack cheese instead of cheddar.
