Description

A classic Italian dish featuring rich bolognese sauce served over linguine pasta.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 0.5 cup red wine
  • 1 pound linguine
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese for serving


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  3. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, and red wine. Simmer for 30 minutes.
  5. While the sauce is simmering, cook linguine according to package instructions.
  6. Drain linguine and serve topped with bolognese sauce.
  7. Garnish with Parmesan cheese before serving.
