Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 can crushed tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 0.5 cup red wine
- 1 pound linguine
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent.
- Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, and red wine. Simmer for 30 minutes.
- While the sauce is simmering, cook linguine according to package instructions.
- Drain linguine and serve topped with bolognese sauce.
- Garnish with Parmesan cheese before serving.
Notes
- This dish is best served immediately after preparation.
- Leftover sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Substitute ground turkey for a lighter option.
