A delicious blend of flavors in a savory taco pie with a masa crust.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup masa harina
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup black olives, sliced
  • 1 jalapeño, sliced (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef with onion and garlic until browned.
  3. Add taco seasoning, salt, and pepper, then stir in diced tomatoes.
  4. In a bowl, mix masa harina with water to form a dough.
  5. Spread the masa dough into a greased pie pan.
  6. Layer the beef mixture into the crust and top with cheese and olives.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the crust is firm and golden.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
