Description

Deliciously rich and fudgy brownies made with black beans and avocado for a healthy twist.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a food processor, blend the black beans and avocado until smooth.
  3. Add cocoa powder, maple syrup, peanut butter, vanilla, baking powder, and salt. Blend until well combined.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips if using.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For a sweeter brownie, add more maple syrup.
  • Can be served with a scoop of ice cream for an indulgent treat.
