Description

Delicious blackberry dumplings that are soft and fluffy, perfect for dessert.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh blackberries
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix blackberries with a bit of sugar and set aside.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  4. Add milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the batter over the blackberries.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the dumplings are golden brown.

Notes

  • Best served warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
