Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour and butter until crumbly.
- Add cold water gradually to form a dough.
- Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- In a skillet, cook beef, onions, bell peppers, and garlic until beef is browned.
- Add cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper; mix well.
- Roll out dough and cut into circles.
- Place filling in the center, fold and seal edges.
- Brush with beaten egg.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- These empanadas can be made in advance and frozen for later use.
