- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
- 2 cloves garlic, smashed

Instructions
- Remove the filet mignon from the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature, about 30 minutes.
- Season both sides of the filet with salt and pepper.
- Heat a skillet over high heat. Once hot, add the filet mignon and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
- Reduce the heat to medium, add the butter, rosemary, and garlic to the pan.
- Baste the filets with the melted butter and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until desired doneness is reached.
- Remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
