- 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 cloves garlic, sliced
- 1 tbsp ginger, sliced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 green onion, chopped (for garnish)
- 2 cups cooked jasmine rice
- Fresh cilantro or sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger. Add chicken thighs and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook for 4–5 minutes per side until caramelized and fully cooked. Remove and let rest.
- In a saucepan, bring chicken broth to a simmer. Add sliced garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Simmer for 10 minutes to infuse flavors.
- Slice the caramelized chicken and serve over cooked jasmine rice.
- Ladle hot garlic ginger broth around the rice and chicken. Garnish with green onions, cilantro, or sesame seeds if desired.
