Description
A delicious and creamy beef skillet dish topped with provolone cheese.

- 1.25 pounds ground beef
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup softened cream cheese
- 2 (14.5-ounce) cans green beans, drained
- to taste Italian seasoning
- to taste garlic powder
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
- 1/4 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
- 6 to 8 slices provolone cheese
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain off 90% of the grease.
- Add Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the beef, stirring to combine.
- Stir in the sour cream and softened cream cheese until well blended with the beef.
- Add the shredded Mexican blend cheese, chicken broth, and drained green beans. Stir to combine.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer until the broth is mostly cooked down, about 10 minutes.
- Preheat the oven broiler.
- Arrange the provolone cheese slices evenly over the top of the beef mixture.
- Place the skillet under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, or until the provolone cheese is melted and slightly browned.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, try mixing in a teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce with the beef before simmering.
- Swap out the green beans for broccoli florets or zucchini slices for a different vegetable option.
