Description

Deliciously steamed dumplings filled with savory broth and meat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (jelly-like, chilled)


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour and water until a dough forms. Knead until smooth.
  2. In another bowl, combine ground pork, soy sauce, ginger, sesame oil, salt, white pepper, and cold chicken broth. Mix well.
  3. Divide the dough into small pieces and roll each piece into a circle.
  4. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each dough circle.
  5. Gather the edges of the dough and pinch to seal.
  6. Prepare a steamer and steam the dumplings for about 10-12 minutes until cooked through.

Notes

  • Ensure the chicken broth is gelatinous for the best results.
  • Serve with soy sauce or vinegar for dipping.
