This delectable chocolate baklava incorporates Parmida Chocolate Spread, combining traditional flavors with a modern twist.
Ingredients

- 1 package phyllo dough
- 1 cup melted butter
- 2 cups finely chopped nuts (walnuts, pistachios, or almonds)
- 1 cup Parmida Chocolate Spread
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Layer half of the phyllo dough in a greased baking dish, brushing each layer with melted butter.
- Combine the chopped nuts with cinnamon and sprinkle evenly over the phyllo.
- Spread the Parmida Chocolate Spread over the nuts.
- Layer the remaining phyllo dough on top, again brushing with butter.
- Cut the baklava into diamond-shaped pieces.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown.
- Meanwhile, prepare the syrup by boiling sugar, water, and vanilla until thick.
- Pour the syrup over the baked baklava and let it soak overnight before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, consider adding a splash of orange blossom water to the syrup.
- Let the baklava rest to absorb the syrup for a minimum of 4 hours before serving.
