- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until combined.
- Form the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.
- Flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a glass.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let the cookies cool completely.
- Melt the chocolate chips and vegetable oil together in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Dip the cooled cookies halfway into the chocolate and place them on parchment paper to set.
Notes
- For a festive touch, sprinkle sea salt on top of the chocolate before it sets.
