Description

A rich and decadent chocolate truffle tart that melts in your mouth.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pre-baked tart crust


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt the dark chocolate and butter together over medium heat, stirring until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.
  4. Combine the melted chocolate mixture with the cream mixture and whisk until fully incorporated.
  5. Pour the chocolate filling into the pre-baked tart crust.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the edges are set but the center is still slightly jiggly.
  7. Allow to cool at room temperature before refrigerating for at least 2 hours.
  8. Serve chilled, garnished with whipped cream or fresh berries.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use a higher cocoa content chocolate.
