- 8 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 pre-baked tart crust
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, melt the dark chocolate and butter together over medium heat, stirring until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Combine the melted chocolate mixture with the cream mixture and whisk until fully incorporated.
- Pour the chocolate filling into the pre-baked tart crust.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the edges are set but the center is still slightly jiggly.
- Allow to cool at room temperature before refrigerating for at least 2 hours.
- Serve chilled, garnished with whipped cream or fresh berries.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use a higher cocoa content chocolate.
- Let the tart set overnight for the best texture.
