- 1 pound salted codfish
- 2 cups water
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Soak the codfish in water for 24 hours, changing the water several times.
- In a pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil and add the soaked codfish.
- Cook for about 15 minutes, then drain and flake the fish.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.
- Add the flaked codfish, black pepper, and paprika. Stir well to combine.
- Cook for an additional 5 minutes, then remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley.
Notes
- This dish can be served with rice or potatoes.
- Adjust seasoning to taste as needed.
