Description

A refreshing and light tea sandwich made with cucumbers and cream cheese.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices white bread
  • 1/2 medium cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese and dill until well combined.
  2. Spread the cream cheese mixture on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Layer the cucumber slices on one slice of bread, and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Top with the second slice of bread, cream cheese side down.
  5. Cut the sandwich into quarters and serve.

Notes

  • For a more elegant presentation, trim the crusts off the bread.
  • These sandwiches are best served immediately, but can be made a few hours in advance and kept refrigerated.
