A delicious Cowboy Butter Chicken Pasta Linguine recipe that combines tender chicken strips with a flavorful butter sauce and linguine pasta.

- 2 chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 8 oz linguine
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup reserved pasta water
Instructions
- Cook linguine according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
- Season chicken with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic, red pepper flakes, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Return chicken to the skillet and toss to coat in the cowboy butter sauce.
- Add cooked linguine, Parmesan cheese, and a splash of reserved pasta water. Toss everything together until creamy and well coated.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan before serving.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of crushed red pepper flakes based on your heat preference.
- For a creamier sauce, add more reserved pasta water as needed.
