Description

A delicious Cowboy Butter Chicken Pasta Linguine recipe that combines tender chicken strips with a flavorful butter sauce and linguine pasta.


Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8 oz linguine
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup reserved pasta water


Instructions

  1. Cook linguine according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. Season chicken with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic, red pepper flakes, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Return chicken to the skillet and toss to coat in the cowboy butter sauce.
  5. Add cooked linguine, Parmesan cheese, and a splash of reserved pasta water. Toss everything together until creamy and well coated.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of crushed red pepper flakes based on your heat preference.
  • For a creamier sauce, add more reserved pasta water as needed.
