Description

A delicious and creamy pasta dish featuring tender steak and zesty flavors, all cooked in one pot for easy preparation.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz (340g) penne pasta
  • 1 lb (450g) sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet or pot over medium-high heat.
  2. Add sliced steak, season with salt, pepper, paprika, and chili flakes, and sear for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from pan and set aside.
  3. In the same pot, add garlic and bell peppers. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  4. Pour in beef broth and bring to a boil. Add the pasta and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is al dente and liquid has reduced.
  5. Lower the heat, stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and lemon juice. Mix until creamy.
  6. Return steak to the pot, stir well, and let everything simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat, garnish with parsley, and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a spicier dish, increase the amount of red chili flakes.
  • Feel free to substitute the sirloin steak with another cut of beef if desired.
  • This dish can be made ahead of time and reheated for later meals.
