Description

Delicious and crispy tofu nuggets, perfect for a snack or a main dish!


Ingredients

  • 1 block firm tofu
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
  3. In one bowl, combine cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. In another bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
  5. Dredge each tofu piece in the cornstarch mixture, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  6. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat and add the tofu nuggets.
  7. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  8. Transfer to a baking sheet and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy!
