- 2 pounds baby carrots, peeled
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the brown sugar, melted butter, ground cinnamon, salt, black pepper, honey, and water. Mix until well combined.
- Add the baby carrots to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the mixture.
- Transfer the coated carrots to the Crock Pot and spread them out evenly.
- Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours, or until the carrots are tender.
- Stir the carrots halfway through cooking to ensure even flavor distribution.
- Once done, serve warm as a delicious side dish.
Notes
- For a touch of citrus, add the zest of one orange to the mixture before cooking.
- For a nutty flavor, sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts over the carrots during the last hour of cooking.
