Description

This moist and decadent Dark Chocolate Mocha Breakfast Bread is perfect for a special breakfast or brunch!


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine coffee, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Fold in the dark chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow cooling in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For an even richer flavor, add a dash of espresso powder to the batter.
  • This bread can be served warm or at room temperature.
