Ingredients

  • 1 cup Cool Whip, thawed
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)
  • 1/2 cup red and green sprinkles (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the Cool Whip until the dough is smooth.
  7. Place the powdered sugar in a shallow dish. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, scoop out the dough and roll it into balls.
  8. Roll each ball in the powdered sugar until fully coated, then place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  9. If desired, sprinkle the tops with red and green sprinkles for a festive touch.
  10. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
