Description

Delicious Cruffins are a delightful hybrid of croissants and muffins, perfect for breakfast or a sweet treat.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • Filling of choice (jam, Nutella, cinnamon sugar, or pastry cream – optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a muffin tin.
  2. Roll out the dough: On a floured surface, roll the puff pastry into a rectangle about 12×10 inches.
  3. Brush & sprinkle: Brush with melted butter and sprinkle evenly with sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Slice & roll: Cut the dough into 4 long strips. If using filling, spread it now. Roll each strip into a spiral, then stand them up in the muffin tin.
  5. Bake: Bake for 20–25 minutes, until puffed and golden brown.
  6. Cool & dust: Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar.
