Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add milk, eggs, vanilla, and melted butter. Mix until smooth. Pour the batter into the prepared dish.
  3. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter. Drop spoonfuls over the batter, then swirl gently with a knife.
  4. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. While the cake is still warm, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Drizzle the glaze over the top.
  6. Let cool slightly, then cut into squares and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use whole milk instead of low-fat milk.
