Description

A traditional Persian dessert made with rice flour, sugar, and milk, flavored with cardamom and served chilled.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 1/4 cup rose water
  • 1/4 cup pistachios, chopped


Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine rice flour and milk. Whisk to avoid lumps.
  2. Add sugar and cook over medium heat, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens.
  3. Stir in cardamom powder and rose water, and mix well.
  4. Pour the mixture into serving bowls and let it cool to room temperature.
  5. Refrigerate for at least two hours before serving.
  6. Garnish with chopped pistachios before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the sugar according to your taste.
  • For a richer flavor, you can substitute some of the milk with cream.
