Description

Delicious and healthy flourless beet brownies that are rich in flavor and nutrients.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cooked beets, pureed
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the pureed beets, cocoa powder, maple syrup, melted coconut oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Add the baking soda and salt, and mix until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool before slicing into squares.

Notes

  • Make sure the beets are cooked and pureed smoothly for the best texture.
