- 8 ounces elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup crumbled blue cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook macaroni according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Slowly whisk in milk and cook until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in cheeses until melted and smooth.
- Add cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and mix well.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish and sprinkle with additional cheese if desired.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
Notes
- For a crunchy topping, consider adding breadcrumbs mixed with melted butter before baking.
