Description

Delicious and easy to make Fresh Cherry Cobbler, perfect for summer gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh cherries, pitted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the fresh cherries, sugar, cornstarch, almond extract, and lemon juice. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, milk, and melted butter until combined. Pour the batter over the cherry mixture.
  4. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
  5. Let cool slightly before serving.
