Ingredients

- 500 grams strong white flour
- 75 grams caster sugar
- 10 grams salt
- 7 grams fast action yeast
- 300 ml milk
- 125 grams unsalted butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 200 grams jam of choice
- 50 grams icing sugar, for dusting
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- In a separate bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, and egg.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Once risen, roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread the jam evenly.
- Roll the dough into a log and place it in a greased baking tray.
- Let it rise for another 30 minutes, then preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly and dust with icing sugar before serving.
