Description

A delicious side dish of glazed carrots cooked in Marsala wine and topped with crunchy hazelnuts.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound carrots, sliced
  • 1/4 cup Marsala wine
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped hazelnuts
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced carrots and sauté for about 5 minutes.
  3. Pour in the Marsala wine and bring to a simmer.
  4. Cover and cook until carrots are tender, about 10-15 minutes.
  5. Remove the lid, season with salt and pepper, and let the liquid reduce to a glaze.
  6. Stir in the chopped hazelnuts and cook for an additional minute.
  7. Serve warm.
