Ingredients

- 1 pound ground grass-fed beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt and pepper until well combined.
- Form the mixture into patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
- Cook the patties on the grill or skillet for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium rare.
- During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover until melted.
- Remove patties from heat and top each with a tablespoon of butter before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, try mixing in your favorite herbs or spices into the beef before forming the patties.
