Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 12 ounces lasagna noodles
- 4 cups ricotta cheese
- 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain.
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef and sausage until browned; drain excess fat.
- Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning; simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, and salt; mix well.
- Spread a layer of meat sauce in a baking dish.
- Layer with lasagna noodles, ricotta mixture, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Best served with garlic bread and a side salad.
- Can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
