Description

Delicious honey almond baklava rolls are a delightful dessert that combines layers of flaky pastry, a rich almond filling, and a sweet honey syrup.


Ingredients

  • 1 package phyllo dough
  • 2 cups finely chopped almonds
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the chopped almonds, sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. Lay out one sheet of phyllo dough, brush with melted butter, and layer another sheet on top.
  4. Spread a portion of the almond mixture along the edge and roll tightly.
  5. Place the rolls on a baking sheet and brush with more butter.
  6. Bake for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  7. While baking, combine honey, water, and vanilla in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  8. Once rolls are done, pour the syrup over the warm baklava rolls.
