Description

Deliciously tender gizzards coated in a sweet and tangy honey-garlic glaze.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken gizzards
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 green onions, chopped


Instructions

  1. Rinse the gizzards and remove any excess fat. Pat dry.
  2. In a pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat and add the gizzards. Sear until browned on all sides.
  3. Add the garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and black pepper. Pour over the gizzards.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer for 30-40 minutes, or until tender.
  6. Garnish with green onions before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the glaze.
  • Serve with steamed rice or on its own as an appetizer.
