Description
These soft and fluffy honey whole wheat pan rolls are the perfect addition to any meal. Sweetened with honey, they’re deliciously warm and comforting.
Ingredients

- 3 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
- 1 1/4 cups warm water
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 large egg
Instructions
- In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, honey, salt, and melted butter.
- Add the dissolved yeast and egg to the flour mixture.
- Mix until a dough forms and knead for about 5-10 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces.
- Form each piece into a ball and place in a greased baking dish.
- Cover the dish and let rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush with melted butter and serve warm.
Notes
- For best results, make sure the water is warm but not hot.
- These rolls pair wonderfully with soups and salads.
