Description

These soft and fluffy honey whole wheat pan rolls are the perfect addition to any meal. Sweetened with honey, they’re deliciously warm and comforting.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 1 1/4 cups warm water
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 large egg


Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, honey, salt, and melted butter.
  3. Add the dissolved yeast and egg to the flour mixture.
  4. Mix until a dough forms and knead for about 5-10 minutes.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  6. Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces.
  7. Form each piece into a ball and place in a greased baking dish.
  8. Cover the dish and let rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Brush with melted butter and serve warm.

  • For best results, make sure the water is warm but not hot.
