Description

Delicious hot honey chicken biscuits with a sweet and spicy twist.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 4 chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 1/2 cup hot honey
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 4 biscuits, split


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in buttermilk until just combined.
  5. Roll out dough and cut into biscuits, placed on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.
  7. While biscuits bake, cook chicken thighs in a skillet until golden and cooked through.
  8. In a small bowl, mix hot honey and hot sauce, then drizzle over cooked chicken.
  9. Assemble the biscuits with the chicken and serve warm.

Notes

  • Make sure to use cold butter for flakier biscuits.
  • Adjust the amount of hot honey to your preferred spice level.
