Description

A delicious and spicy Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza topped with creamy ricotta cheese, perfect for pizza lovers looking for a flavor twist.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ball of pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2025 slices of pepperoni
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup honey (for the hot honey)
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (for the hot honey)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it heats.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat the honey and red pepper flakes over low heat for about 3–5 minutes. Remove from heat and let it sit while you make the pizza.
  3. On a floured surface, stretch or roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle. Transfer to a baking sheet or pizza peel lined with parchment paper.
  4. Brush the dough with olive oil. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the base, then sprinkle with shredded mozzarella. Add dollops of ricotta cheese across the pizza. Arrange the pepperoni slices on top and season with a pinch of salt and black pepper.
  5. Bake the pizza for 10–12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
  6. Drizzle the spicy honey over the hot pizza right after baking. Add fresh basil leaves for a burst of flavor.
  7. Slice and enjoy while hot!

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust the amount of red pepper flakes based on your spice preference.
  • For a crispier crust, use a pizza stone.
  • Fresh basil can be substituted with arugula for a different flavor.
