Description

A spooky and delicious Indian Masala Chai Ghost Latte perfect for Halloween or any festive occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons black tea leaves (or 2 tea bags)
  • 1 cup whole milk (or any milk alternative)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream (for topping)
  • Chocolate syrup (for drizzling)
  • Ghost-shaped marshmallows (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Add the black tea leaves and let it simmer for about 5 minutes to brew strong tea. If using tea bags, steep them for 5 minutes and then remove.
  2. Stir in the sugar, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and cloves. Let the mixture simmer for an additional 2 minutes to allow the spices to infuse.
  3. Pour in the milk and heat until just steaming, but do not let it boil. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Remove from heat and strain the tea into mugs, discarding the tea leaves or bags.
  5. Top each latte with a generous dollop of whipped cream. Drizzle chocolate syrup over the whipped cream for a spooky effect.
  6. Garnish with ghost-shaped marshmallows on top of the whipped cream.

Notes

  • For a creamier latte, use half-and-half instead of whole milk.
  • You can also add a pinch of nutmeg for extra warmth.
  • For a caffeine-free version, substitute the black tea with rooibos tea.
