Description
A spooky and delicious Indian Masala Chai Ghost Latte perfect for Halloween or any festive occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons black tea leaves (or 2 tea bags)
- 1 cup whole milk (or any milk alternative)
- 1 tablespoon sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Whipped cream (for topping)
- Chocolate syrup (for drizzling)
- Ghost-shaped marshmallows (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Add the black tea leaves and let it simmer for about 5 minutes to brew strong tea. If using tea bags, steep them for 5 minutes and then remove.
- Stir in the sugar, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and cloves. Let the mixture simmer for an additional 2 minutes to allow the spices to infuse.
- Pour in the milk and heat until just steaming, but do not let it boil. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Remove from heat and strain the tea into mugs, discarding the tea leaves or bags.
- Top each latte with a generous dollop of whipped cream. Drizzle chocolate syrup over the whipped cream for a spooky effect.
- Garnish with ghost-shaped marshmallows on top of the whipped cream.
Notes
- For a creamier latte, use half-and-half instead of whole milk.
- You can also add a pinch of nutmeg for extra warmth.
- For a caffeine-free version, substitute the black tea with rooibos tea.
