Description

A deliciously spiced grilled car, popular in Iraqi cuisine.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 whole carp, cleaned and scaled
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, cumin, coriander, paprika, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  2. Rub the spice mixture all over the cleaned carp.
  3. Let the fish marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Place the carp on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
  6. Serve hot with lemon wedges.

  • Make sure to grill the fish over medium heat to avoid burning.
