Description
A deliciously spiced grilled car, popular in Iraqi cuisine.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 whole carp, cleaned and scaled
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 2 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, cumin, coriander, paprika, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the cleaned carp.
- Let the fish marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Place the carp on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
- Serve hot with lemon wedges.
Notes
- Make sure to grill the fish over medium heat to avoid burning.
- Can be served with a side of rice or salad.
- Adjust spices according to your taste preference.
