Description

This Irresistible Banana Mochi is a delightful and chewy dessert that combines the sweetness of ripe bananas with the unique texture of mochi.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup sweet rice flour (mochi flour)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (for dusting)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  2. Add the sweet rice flour and sugar, mixing until well combined.
  3. Add water gradually, stirring to achieve a smooth batter.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a microwave-safe dish and cover with a damp cloth.
  5. Microwave for about 2 minutes, stir, then microwave for another 2 minutes until thick and sticky.
  6. Dust a clean surface with cornstarch and pour the mochi mixture onto it.
  7. Let it cool slightly and then knead gently with cornstarch-covered hands.
  8. Cut into pieces and serve as desired.
