Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound calamari, cleaned
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Pecorino Romano cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups marinara sauce


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the cooked rice, breadcrumbs, Pecorino Romano cheese, garlic, parsley, egg, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Stuff the calamari tubes with the mixture and secure the ends with toothpicks.
  4. Place stuffed calamari in a baking dish and cover with marinara sauce.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the calamari is cooked through.
