Ingredients
Scale
- 200 grams kataifi pastry
- 1 liter ice cream (vanilla or mastiha flavor)
- 100 grams sugar
- 50 ml water
- 20 grams mastiha (mastic resin)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Spread the kataifi pastry on a baking sheet and bake until golden and crispy, about 20 minutes.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, water, and mastiha. Heat gently until the sugar dissolves and mastiha is infused.
- Allow the syrup to cool.
- Once baked, let the kataifi cool and then fluff it up.
- Layer the kataifi in serving bowls and add scoops of ice cream on top.
- Drizzle with mastiha syrup and serve immediately.
Notes
- Ensure the kataifi is fully cooled before adding the ice cream.
- For a stronger mastiha flavor, increase the amount of mastiha in the syrup.
