- 1 package kataifi pastry
- 500 grams ricotta cheese
- 200 grams sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 100 grams melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Prepare the kataifi pastry by loosening it with your fingers and lightly grease with melted butter.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, orange juice, and lemon juice.
- Spread half of the kataifi in a baking dish, layer the filling, and top with the remaining kataifi.
- Drizzle melted butter on top and bake for about 45 minutes until golden brown.
- While baking, prepare the syrup by boiling sugar and water until dissolved, then adding orange juice.
- Once the dessert is baked, pour the syrup over it while hot and let it soak.
