A flavorful and healthy twist on traditional shawarma, perfect for a keto diet.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and coat evenly with the spice mixture. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the marinated chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked.
  4. Meanwhile, make the garlic sauce by mixing garlic, Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, lemon juice, and parsley in a separate bowl.
  5. Once cooked, slice the chicken into strips and serve with the garlic sauce.
