Description

Delicious keto-friendly mozzarella sticks with a crispy almond-free coating.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces mozzarella cheese sticks
  • 1 cup coconut flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup pork rinds, crushed
  • oil for frying


Instructions

  1. Cut the mozzarella sticks in half.
  2. In one bowl, mix the coconut flour, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs.
  4. In a third bowl, mix the grated Parmesan cheese and crushed pork rinds.
  5. Coat each mozzarella stick in the coconut flour mixture, dip in the eggs, and then coat with the pork rind mixture.
  6. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  7. Fry the mozzarella sticks until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  8. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, double coat the mozzarella sticks.
  • Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
