A quick and delicious twist on classic chicken parmesan, this Lazy Chicken Parmesan Grilled Cheese combines the flavors of marinara, chicken, and melted cheese between two slices of crispy bread.

- 2 slices of your favorite bread
- 1/2 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded
- 1/4 cup marinara sauce
- 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat and butter one side of each bread slice.
- Place one slice of bread, butter-side down, on the skillet.
- Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bread, followed by the shredded chicken and both mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
- Sprinkle garlic powder, dried basil, and oregano over the cheese.
- Place the second slice of bread, butter-side up, on top.
- Grill the sandwich until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve hot.
Notes
- Feel free to add more spices or herbs to enhance the flavor.
