A refreshing and creamy hummus with a unique twist of lemon and basil.
Ingredients

- 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2-3 tablespoons water (as needed)
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Process until smooth, adding water as needed to reach desired consistency.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Spoon into a serving bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Serve with pita chips or fresh vegetables.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add more lemon juice or fresh basil.
- This hummus can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
