- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Zest and juice of 1 lemon
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Pecorino Romano cheese
- 1 tsp dried Italian herbs
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon slices (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Stir in lemon zest, lemon juice, and chicken broth. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Lower the heat and add heavy cream and Pecorino Romano cheese, stirring until smooth and creamy.
- Add Italian herbs and adjust seasoning.
- Return chicken to the skillet, coating it in the sauce. Simmer for another 2–3 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices.
- Serve hot with pasta, rice, or crusty bread.
