Ingredients

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Pecorino Romano cheese
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon slices (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Cook chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  5. Stir in lemon zest, lemon juice, and chicken broth. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  6. Lower the heat and add heavy cream and Pecorino Romano cheese, stirring until smooth and creamy.
  7. Add Italian herbs and adjust seasoning.
  8. Return chicken to the skillet, coating it in the sauce. Simmer for another 2–3 minutes.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices.
  10. Serve hot with pasta, rice, or crusty bread.
