Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon almond extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg, vanilla, and almond extracts and beat until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Shape the dough into lotus flower shapes and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until lightly golden.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
- These cookies can be decorated with icing for a more festive look.
- Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
