Description

Delicious Manicotti Shells filled with a creamy cheese mixture, baked in marinara sauce, and topped with melted cheese.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 manicotti shells
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the manicotti shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and let cool.
  3. In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stuff each manicotti shell with the cheese mixture.
  5. Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  6. Place the stuffed manicotti shells in the baking dish.
  7. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the top of the shells.
  8. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil, sprinkle additional mozzarella on top, and bake for another 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
